                                     Jade Bird

Twenty one years old is incredibly young. Although at this age you are considered to be an adult everywhere in the world, it is still very young. However, sometimes you can meet someone who is wiser than anyone else, even at twenty one. You can hear it when you talk with this person or just by listening to his/her songs. That's why we can tell twenty one years old is not enough for Jade Bird.

Jade Bird was born in 1997 in Hexham, England. She is a British musician, singer and songwriter. Her debut EP Something American was released in July 2017.

Although born in England, she kept moving everywhere. She lived in a lot of places such as the United States, Germany, London, or even South Wales. All of these places influenced her music. It is logical after all, your life, your experiences influence your music, influence you all your life, and are with you for the best and the worst.

Bird's music can be described as country music. Obviously you can also feel a bit of pop rock in her songs, not particularly the new type, but the pop rock of the 70's. Bird's band is simple in a way. She sings and plays acoustic guitar while Will Rees plays electric guitar. Behind the drums you have Matt Johnson, and Jesse Hume plays the bass guitar. Her vocals have been described as "raw and robust" by the Rolling Stone magazine. She has a hell of a voice, and her way of singing reminds me a bit of Grace Slick, singer of The Jefferson Airplane, with the genius "White Rabbit".

You can feel it especially on the song "Uh Huh". The live version of this song was released in August 2018 and was recorded for Vevo DSCVR. This video has over 805k views (the most on her channel right now). This artist needs to be more heard. Her great music is here, right now, just in front of us.

She began touring in the United States in 2017. She is still touring in the USA and she will be in England soon. She will play in London at the Electric Brixton on the 21st of November notably, the only date in the capital (for now).
